Caledon East - A little more rural than Bolton, but still offering a few pockets of newer subdivisions, Caledon East is approximately 15 minutes from Bolton and has a lot to offer as well. Caledon East is easily accessible, and offers great schools, Recreation facilities, a library and many family owned businesses and store fronts that are nice for browsing. In Caledon East you can find varying housing styles, including newer built subdivisions, plus sprawling multi-acre farm homes. Prices range from the mid $400,000s upwards of $5,000,000 depending on property type and size.
On a normal traffic day, Caledon is roughly a 45 minute commute to downtown Toronto, 35 minutes to Mississauga, and 20 to Brampton. The Airport is also only 30 minutes away. Highways 400, 50, Airport Road, and King Road are all commonly taken roadways leading to the other corners of the GTA and Peel.
Caledon offers so much variety in terms of getting active and enjoying the outdoors. In addition to the Caledon Equestrian Centre in Palgrave, there are also dozens of other farms in the area that provide horseback riding, touring and education programs. Incredible hiking that connects to some amazing portions of the Bruce Trail and the Oak Ridges Moraine can be found throughout the communities of Caledon, as can some wonderful conservation areas for enjoying wildlife and nature such as Albion Hills Conservation Centre and Hockley Valley Resort which is just a few minutes away. There is an abundance of trails and parks for enjoying cross country skiing, skating, and other activities all year long.
