We just wanted to express our gratitude for your help in finding us the "home of our dreams". We had been looking for a house in a specific neighbourhood for years. Our friends and family told us we were being too picky and should "settle" for something else, somewhere else. We weren't ready to compromise. We approached several realtors in Bolton and asked them to let us know if and when properties became available in our desired location. You were the only one who followed through. Time and again you let us know whenever houses in our chosen neighbourhood went on the market. We felt sure you would give up on us as we found something that didn't suit us about each one. You never did. You persisted until we found just what we were looking for - but that was just the beginning! Being first-time home buyers, we had no idea what the process involved or where to begin. You took care of everything. You answered our questions, gave us referrals to the professionals we needed and actually made the process fun! Thanks to you, we have a home we love in the neighbourhood we wanted with minimal stress, maximal fun all within five days of our first viewing! Thanks you very much for everything. We would recommend your services with out hesitation to anyone - and we have.
You have a story to tell about me. You've worked with me, and I've helped you buy or sell a home. I need your feedback. Others need your feedback, too! Please take a moment to fill out this form and tell me how I did...
Buying Land and New Construction >Lot Location
If you are buying land on which to build, you may be eager to get started. But before you leap into buying land, remember that location is the one essential element you won't be able to change. You will never regret taking the time to fully consider the setting for your home.
Make a list of the must-have features that will exist on your ideal piece of land. Do you require a lakefront property or a spectacular view? If privacy is high on your list, you may want to look for land that is heavily wooded, or purchase secluded acreage in a rural setting. Decide on the minimum size lot that will work for the setting of your home. Are you willing to build on a slope or a hillside? Knowing your requirements will help your real estate agent save you time by eliminating unsuitable properties.
Select two or three of your favorite neighborhoods and ask your agent to concentrate the search for land in those places. If you are building in an area you are not familiar with, drive or take walks around the neighborhood and talk to people who live there.
