Psssst....take a look outside, snow is melting or melted, folks are venturing out for walks with their dogs and kids. I know spring is officially still more than 3 weeks away, but this feels good, doesn't it??
In real estate, we refer to February as the start of the spring market. Hard to believe, right? We know we'll get more snow, we know there are still days of slush, freezing rain and chill left until this winter peters out. But think about it. When do YOU think houses sell? Spring? June? Historically, the majority of properties sell during our warmer months. People prefer to move when it's warm, those with kids want to be settled by time school goes back in. So, makes sense to get the house on the market in May, right? Not necessarily. In my opinion, now is the time to consider calling in your trusted Realtor! You'll need time to accomplish the little or not so little tasks you've been putting off. Tasks that will spiff your house up, get you sold quickly, and bring you top dollar for your property. I'm always available to offer suggestions to present your house in the best light possible. If we start now, get your property on the market, chances are you'll beat the flurry of activity in May, when streets are lined with FOR SALE signs. Wouldn't it be sweet to already be SOLD?
