The other day I left the house to run a few errands, and forgot my phone. I didn't realize I'd forgotten it until it just didn't make sense to turn around and get it. Admittedly, initially I kinda panicked! What was I missing? Who would I chat with on bluetooth while I was in the car? Quite the conundrum.
After I calmed myself down I actually started enjoying the silence. No ringing phone, no texts, no emails...just me, the open road and tunes. I think because I had no distractions, I was able to actually look around, drink in this fair town we live in. I travelled along quaint country roads, waited for a turkey to cross the road, drove past a woman walking her horse up the shoulder of the road. How fortunate we are to live where we do, I truly love Caledon and all it's diversity.
