Those of us who live in Caledon already know how terrific it is, what a idyllic place it is to call home and raise our families. But, do you actually know how fabulous it really is, all the things to do and see that just add to Caledon's charm. I've put some thought into this, and come up with several places to check out that sort of fly under the radar even for some of us locals. For example, Martha's Place, a themed-room shop featuring women's fashion, accessories, local food products with an outstanding organic selection, plus unique gifts. Worthy of a look see and located at 19781 Main Street in Alton. While in Alton, find peace and relaxation at Headwaters Wellness, 19793 Main Street. This world class spa specializes in Yoga and Meditation, with RMT's and Osteopaths on site.
Don't you just love stumbling across a hidden gem? I'll make the stumble a little less clumsy and give you a heads up...Ray's 3rd Generation Restaurant. What a great selection of baked goodies and other amazing treats. You're gonna want to grab some tasty treats for the drive home!
Albion Orchards and Country Market, located at 14800 Innis Lake Road in Caledon East is known for its "great Canadian hospitality" and an almost guaranteed good time! From picking fresh apples right off the tree to sampling some of the finest raw honey and maple syrup in the area, you won't be disappointed. Speaking of apples and the goodness that comes from apples, The Spirit Tree Estate Cidery is a community focused facility at 1137 Boston Mills Road in Caledon. Award winning cider from the surrounding apple orchards will warm the belly and your heart.
Last, but not least, Cadogan Farm Adventures, at 15930 St Andrew's Road. Something for everyone. And I mean EVERYONE. Whether you're into a luxurious stay in their B&B, camping or 'glamping', hiking, horse back riding or intimate socials in the gazebo, the reviews are unanimously thumbs up!
The weekend is upon us, get in the car and explore our Caledon!
